VPYA has been working to help young people get back on track and in safe and secure accommodation for over 30 years. From small beginnings we have helped thousands of clients into housing. We work with young people aged from 15 to 25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, but often the whole family can be involved depending on what the needs and wants of the young person is.
Providing a wrap-around service that includes access to help with all aspects of their lives, we find our model of compassion and support with clear guidelines and goals leads to a high success rate with positive outcomes for our clients when they leave here.
Funded mainly by the Department of Communities (Child Protection and Family Services Directorate) and supported by the Housing Directorate we currently have 18 properties from single bedroom units to 3 bedroom houses which we manage. Currently we have housed 33 people including young families, couples and young single people looking forward.
