SUPPORT

SUPPORTED ACCOMMODATION

Victoria Park Youth Accommodation provides a transitional accommodation service utilising an embedded case management approach to build the capacity and resilience of our clients.

The service provides suitable accommodation within one of our many different properties.

Acceptance of the case management approach is a condition of entry to the program.

The caseworker has regular purposeful contact with their clients and provides stabilising support in many areas especially with day to day life management. He/She helps the client identify issues and the strategies to address them. They help them to be better independent problem solvers, so they can eventually transition to alternative accommodation. the service accommodates young people aged 15 to 25 years within the Victoria Park region.

EXTERNAL SUPPORT

We assist clients by addressing their homelessness, education and employment needs, mental health issues, debt, private rental capabilities, childcare and schooling options for their children.

Clients are allocated a support worker to help them navigate issues and work on self-set goals. The worker provides information about other services available such as financial counselling, mental health services, income management, drug/alcohol programs.

CONTINUING SUPPORT

We continue to support clients after they have moved on to other accommodation if requested. We will support ex-clients for up to 6 months from their exit date.
